Finca La Capilla updates the image of its crianza red wine with a more elegant and refined style
The boutique winery in Ribera del Duero reaffirms its identity with a restyling that reinforces its unique character and commitment to excellence.
Located in one of the most privileged areas of Ribera del Duero, Finca La Capilla launches the new vintage of its iconic La Capilla Crianza, presenting a new design label. In this restyling the rosette is elegantly incorporated into the body of the label highlighting a renovated style amongst the red wines of this denomination of origin.
Since its acquisition in 2019 by the Forner family, the estate has grown to 60 hectares of owned vineyards, with the aim of producing wines with a marked identity and elegance. “We want to interpret the forceful character of Ribera del Duero to take it towards an elegant and balanced expression,” says Cristina Forner, president of the winery.
A boutique winery in a privileged location
Located on a single estate, where plots are classified based on their qualitative potential, Finca La Capilla is noted for its ancient sandy-loam soils and its tertiary origins. Finca La Capilla owns vineyards in Roa, La Horra and Anguix, three of the areas with the highest winemaking potential in this denomination.
Given the extreme conditions of the region, where the temperature variation between night and day varies greatly, the grapes have exceptional tannin richness and great aromatic intensity.
A new look that echoes all its individuality
The new label design for La Capilla Crianza preserves the harmony of tradition and modernity, emphasising the genuineness and artisanal character of the wine.
Featuring subtle details, a clean colour palette and refined lettering, this updated image transmits the quality and intensity associated to a red wine exclusively made from selected grapes sourced from our estate. “ The label design is the initial link with the customer, so we wanted it to express our philosophy: single vineyard wines, limited production and maximum quality in each bottle,” says Cristina Forner.
La Capilla Crianza 2021
Deep-coloured wine with high depth, velvety and silky in the glass. An intense nose, with fresh fruit aromas wrapped in very fine, integrated oak giving priority to the richness of the Tinta del País grape variety in Ribera del Duero. Fresh and lively in the mouth, with elegant complexity, creamy nuances and fine toasted notes. Dense, enveloping, full-bodied, polymerised tannins. Subtle and elegant. A harmonious wine that can be savoured immediately. It will keep for several more years in bottle.
